8 Tips for getting a Good Night Sleep

Stress is the way that our body responds to the stressors of daily life. It impacts on our emotions, our physical body, and our behavior. Too much stress can impact our ability to have a restful night’s sleep. That’s why it's vitally important to learn how to sleep better.

While outdoor activities provide us with mental and physical stimulation and exercise, at the end of the day, our body needs sleep, to recharge. We are all too familiar with many things that can affect our ability to sleep at night, they include the use of caffeine, bad sleeping positions, and stress. Let’s see few tips for getting a good night sleep.

Due to lack of sleep or insomnia problems some people, also take sleeping pills. There are many other ways to fall asleep, below discussed are the few simple tips which can solve your problem.

  • Right Room Temperature

Set a room temperature according to your need, too warm or too cold temperatures can disturb your sleep. You can go for 60 and 73 degrees F, the little chill temperature can decrease your body‘s internal thermometer and helps in comfortable and sound sleep.

  • Maintain strict sleep schedule

Try to sleep daily at the same time and wake up at the same time, your body becomes habituated to the same time getting into bed and waking up. Then it will be easy for you to fall asleep naturally. Sleep at least 8 hours.

  • Essential oils

Start using essential oils or aromatherapy, in your routine. Essential oils are natural, safe and the best therapeutic way to cool down your body. You can use lavender oil, chamomile oil or any other essential oils of your choice.

  • No caffeine after 12 p.m.

Caffeine’s can effect up to 12 If you are not able to sleep at night an overdose of caffeine might be the blame. Try to have any other drinks which have no caffeine in it. Have a cucumber and ginger which will refresh you.

  • Avoid sugars during night

Avoid consumption of sweets, simple carbs, chocolate, juice, high glycemic fruits before bed. Instead, you should try a few protein foods with vegetables and complex carbohydrate
