Julie Goss, L.Ac., MAc.OM.
Julie is a licensed acupuncturist and has been practicing since 2008. Her practice focuses on treating organic as well as psychosomatic pain. Her specialties include endocrine (Adrenal Disorders, Hypothyroidism, Osteoporosis, Prediabetes, Type I Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes), musculoskeletal (acute & chronic pain), neurological disorders, and post-traumatic-stress-disorder (PTSD) from trauma: (auto injury, mental/physical abuse or military experience). Julie works with patients to help facilitate their own body & spirit's innate healing energy "qi".
She received a Master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAc.OM.) from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (Ranked #1 of 50 schools in U.S.) and a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration (BS) from Marist College in New York.
Julie has dedicated over 11 years to volunteering with the Portland Veterans Acupuncture Project, providing group-style acupuncture care to veterans. Unfortunately, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, the Board made the difficult decision to close the clinic in the interest of public safety.
Julie's passion about healing through acupuncture hardly captures the depth of her commitment. During the August 2023 Lahaina Wildfire disaster, she transformed what was meant to be a 14-day vacation in Maui into an 11-day charitable mission—providing acupuncture care to first responders and fire victims amid the devastation left by 80-mph hurricane-force winds.
In her free time, Julie enjoys dancing, live music and performing arts & lectures as well as immersing herself in nature via backpacking/trekking, kayaking, and traveling.
